I just wanted to write a quick update so everyone knows what’s going on!
I’m excited to be here in the States (for two weeks) with family, and I’ll get to see some of my great friends! I’ve been out of the country for almost 3 months so coming back was so interesting. Such a different environment! My culture shock subsided as I experienced the delicious taste of sweet tea again. Missed it so much.
I’m in Orlando now with my aunt and uncle and two cousins. Tomorrow we’ll drive to South Carolina for Thanksgiving. Then I’ll have a few more days in Florida complete with a visit to Disney (a free visit thanks to my aunt’s awesome parents). After Disney it’s back to Georgia for a few days to get things ready for the kiddos and back to Lima!
If you haven’t heard yet, we get to be a part of putting on Christmas for orphans and poor community kids in a place called Pachacutec!
We’re collecting toys, clothing, toothbrushes and money to give them a great Christmas and an opportunity to learn more about Jesus. I’ll put links for everything below for anyone who doesn’t want to read through everything to find the links:
